Some music just takes time to find it's way to you. There are those bands and musicians you've heard of your whole life but you never invested in, or simply hadn't formed the right experiences to give meaning to the words. For many of us John Prine has been making music our whole lives, since 1971. He's someone I've only recently began to admire. In the simplest of ways his songs somehow say just enough, and throughout his catalog he says just about everything that needs be said.
