Contemporary Southern Icons: Rachels

One of my favorite bands on earth, and it just so happens that they are from nearby amazing city of Louisville,Ky. Of all the Post-Rock(classical/rock) bands to pop up during the mid to late 90's they are one of the only bands to make it through unscathed. Their music is timeless yet contemporary, it is humblingly beautiful and meldoic yet can shift to hair raising levels of tensions and dissonance over the course of one song.
Currently a couple members are working on a new project called King's Daughters & Sons which if their name and the 3 song EP they've made is any indication of what's to come, well then..... We've got something to patiently wait for. Cheers!
